New release from one of my favorite groups - French Seila Chiara, which has existed since 2007 and has already released two albums, recorded a split with Orfèvre and lighted on two compilations of his record label's Tokyo Jupiter Compilation. in the group are five people, with three of them - the guitarists that in itself is unusual for this kind of music. but in general the guys play a very emotional music with extraordinary beauty texts. probably more than I can not write due to the small amounts of information about the group. this EP could have ordered in August 2011, but now she appeared on the Internet. on the official site you can download the old records, by the way.

After a split record with their friends Orfevre and a single record (both on CD) this is the vinyl debut of this band from lyon. SEILA CHIARA play a mix of styles. You can find some real melodic, almost post-rockish moments mixed with some kind of classic french-emo-elements and also some post-punk. These three songs are beautiful, clear, simple. Completely free of any clichés. The A-Side starts with “standing up on swing” which reminds a bit on AMANDA WOODWARD-stuff. Bright and clear with a repeating melody. The second song “red tape” is more or less an instrumental track which leads into the third tracks. “The way madness lies“ has this post-rock elements and is the most catchy song on this record. Reminds me on AMALTHEA or DOMINIC.

"We'll Build An Ark" is presented by Seila Chiara as a demo. Believe it or not, it already sounds like an album really good. A CD of four songs is 51 minutes long. You will understand: the word epic takes its place here.

"We'll Build An Ark" is an interesting musical journey. Never boring, the group manages to create contrasts and moods that stretch and dilate to condense in implosions joyously melodic and melancholy. Arriving where few succeed today to create an emo rock at a cross-genre popular without that not everything looks like a tasteless soup. From a singing and melodies that remind me by now (at least initially) to A DAY IN BLACK AND WHITE blend of emocore suptueux nervous, indie rock and melodic post-rock atmospheres. If it were only that, the group gets lost in the mass current large group practicing this melting pot. But the song never screamed and his rhythmic worked well under the group a pleasant touch. Add to that French forces and influences specific to them, Seila CHIARA me therefore to think of a majestic flight of AMANDA WOODWARD, singing in totally different course.
