Gernika was formed in the spring of 2009 in Boise, Idaho. The original members of Gernika consisted of Drew Lockhart on vocals, Manuel Asumendi on guitar, CJ Taylor on bass, and Dellstan Fillmore on drums. In the summer of 2009, Gernika released their first demo titled "Keep on Truckin'" and would play a small northwest US tour. In the winter of 2009 Dellstan Fillmore left Gernika for Big Judds (a...resturant, not a band). Soon after losing thier drummer, Manuel Asumendi and CJ Taylor joined The Franklin Coverup, where they met drummer Brett Hawkins. Brett Hawkins soon joined Gernika as their drummer in the spring of 2010. Gernika then played many consecutive shows around Idaho through the end of the summer of 2010 and attempted to record a full length CD. Shortly after the summer of 2010, Brett Hawkins was asked to leave Gernika due to conflicting ideas for the future of Gernika. Open tryouts were soon held for a new drummer in the fall of 2010, where they found Jake Little. CJ also soon left down a different path. Now with the current line up of Drew Lockhart on vocals, Manuel Asumendi on guitar, Keith Spencer on Bass, and Jake Little on drums, we recorded the Self-Titled EP which is for sale at our shows or available for download at www.gernika.bandcamp.com. Just get it some how.

Well, here's the new album by Gernika. it's kinda disappointed when i listen to the first track from this album, i'm afraid that they lose their math/prog/chaotic style on this album, but damn i was wrong, after i listen to the whole track, i think this album is better than their previous released, and i've got no words to say about it. Ok, no more bullshit here, you better check this one out by yourself, enjoy, and don't forget to support the band!!!

The Matador is a southern hardcore influenced band from Omaha, NE formed back in 2007. The band released a 4-song demo in the Spring of 2008, and a 5-song CD EP 'Bad Day For a Snake' on Imagine It Records June 6, 2009.
The Matador is the hardest working Southern influenced metal extravaganza on the face of the planet.... Better yet, the universe. Fueled by an appreciation for loud noises that make apes slam into each other, The Matador has been staring down the bull since day one, so to speak. Men fear them for what they are capable of doing. Women swoon to them for what they are guilty of saying. Children love The Matador. So do dogs. It has been scientifically proven that listening to The Matador has been known to make you taller, smarter and in some cases more attractive to the opposite sex. Unless you are asexual. in which case you are weird and The Matador wants nothing to do with you. The rules still apply to The Matador. Except gravity. The Matador floats 32 centimeters above the ground. Most people don't notice.
For fans of Botch and (old) Norma Jean. Enjoy!!!

Memphis May Fire is a southern post hardcore band. Prior to "Sleepwalking" which is their first full length, they had released a self-titled EP. With a new album, and new musical direction, and a new singer, MMF is poised to prove that they don't plan to blend in with every other band in the scene.
While promising, the self-titled was painfully by the numbers and left a lot to be desired. It did have a few things going for it, namely some decent instrumentation and a unique vocalist. It was hindered by it's short length, predictable formula, and while often well done, the vocals could become grating, particularly in the clean passages. MMF also claimed that there was a southern edge to their music, though on the EP, this was hardly the case. With "Sleepwalking," they take all of the promise from their self-titled, capitalized on it, and put out a surprisingly good release.
Although the vocalist is new, he certainly bears resemblance to the old one, with high pitched vocals that are well done and on key. The screams are vastly improved as well. This album also delivers on the promise of packing a southern edge. The guitars are distinct, varied, and stray far from the typical chugging of similar acts, and weave seamlessly around the other band elements with some excellent leads and melodies that are unmistakably southern rock tinged.
