With Heaven's Pregnant Teens, Some Girls' first release on Epitaph Records, the group has honed its white knuckled assault down to 25 minutes of unrelenting musical psychosis while adding new dimensions of brutality to their now-trademark thrash attack. Throughout the album's thirteen tracks, complex time changes invert riffs on their heads as layers of guitars trample each other before spreading out into electrified tendrils. Bassist Justin Pearson's fuck fuzz-soaked bass and drummer Sal Gallegos' unremitting percussive attack provide a manic backdrop to singer Wes Eisold's frantic caged dog vocal assailments. In short, it's a musical mindfuck. From the cannon shot intro of the album's crushing opener "Beautiful Rune" to the death drone of its nine-minute closing suite "Deathwish," Heaven's Pregnant Teens is a document of five twisted musical minds making the most gloriously deranged noise producer Alex Newport (At The Drive In, The Locust, Sepultura) could commit to tape.

SOME GIRLS have managed to turn the hardcore/punk world on its head with the release of only two 7"EP's and select performances. This may have something to do with SOME GIRLS being comprised of a cast of members that includes Wes Eisold (Give Up The Ghost, AN), Rob Moran (Unbroken, Over My Dead Body), and Justin Pearson (The Locust, Swing Kids) among their collective line-up. Each member bringing their own approach and past musical history to the table. Ultimately creating SOME GIRLS unique personality and genuine character.

This CDEP is a collection of both highly successful 7"EP's released on Deathwish, also included is a very special bonus track. Altogether the self titled CDEP is a collection of eleven rabid hardcore songs. Beautifully raw, unpolished, and altogether manic in their presentation, the way all punk should be.

Keeping in the habit of having amusing lyrics, The DNA Will Have Its Say has a lot of weird shit to offer; "Friends forever fucking each other’s fuck-friends," "Back home they think I’m queer, but no one’s yet to notice here," and "Hot boys with toys on their arms don’t mean no harm / They merely mean to impress, to show you what they undress." With an already amazing lineup, adding the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O. into the mixture for the album’s title song only adds to the chaotic hardcore punk sound Some Girls achieve.

With most tracks barely longer than a minute long, Some Girls haven’t tarnished their image from their full-length, All My Friends Are Going Death. The band’s ability to distance themselves from their other work is notable as well, having only a small amount of grind influence in their sound. They’ve even got bunnies and rainbows in their distinct and unique album art. This album is definitely something to get while the getting’s good before they release their next full-length on Epitaph.
