01-Skin Deep
02-A New Dawn
Dominic is a band that has steadily evolved in recent years. Away from the youthful innocence of their early days through to the multi-layered, atmospheric sound somewhere between hardcore, screamo, indie and post rock. The latest output of Norway has two unreleased songs that come along on a 7inch send.
I think it's always nice when a band release a seemingly unimportant to use in order to show a new side. Even though Dominic has always put out only Qualitäsware, can the significance of this, 8-minute round, not be compared with the slice of a new album. Nevertheless, it is as a signpost for the future! Dominic go at these two things one step further than "North". Musically, the one eating is multifaceted, so complex. About the atmosphere, we do not need to debate, because this is the darkest piece of music 7inch, recording the Norwegians ever. The combination of apocalyptic tunes, desperate screams and relentless, thundering rhythms creates an almost scary, damn gloomy mood. During the first song "Skin Deep" already convinced, "A New Dawn" hits the mark. Here Dominic bring a melody to illuminating, they start in with the epic, beautiful way into a finale in which they turn up the intensity level until it stops.
