The title for this record came from a very troubling time for the band after their bus broke down which led to the cancellation of the second-half of their tour. They state that, “God roars into our lives to get our attention and grab us and sometimes He whispers to heal us and to comfort us.” As far as lyrically, the two descriptions they gave were urgency and conviction. And undoubtedly, the entire listening experience is nothing but those adjectives. But the real standout is the vocals of Donny Hardy. It’s as if God’s anointing fell on the entire recording and reaches through your speakers. It also doesn’t hurt that the music, vocals, and the lyrics blend together perfectly.
For an upcoming band, I Am Alpha And Omega has crafted an outstanding album that was worth the wait. From the intro, instrumental, ending, and everything in between, this is Spirit-filled metalcore at its finest.
