Since its inception in February of 2009, Former Thieves has managed to put in more legwork in just over a year than many bands do in their careers. Between self-releasing ( and subsequently selling out of ) the critically acclaimed EP, “The Great And The Alleged Great,” sharing the stage with peers such as Touche Amore and Native, and tackling a grinding coast to coast touring regimen, the Iowa quartet has proven that it’s certainly doing something right. With a unique sound that has been described as, “Botch meets Modern Life Is War,” the newest addition to the ever-growing No Sleep family will be continuing its unbending DIY agenda well into the future.
