Denver, Colorado’s CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE formed in 2006 and have since unleashed their own brand of “funeral grind” on the metal masses. The band’s sound has been described as “too slow for grindcore, too fast for doom,” and has been compared to the musical styles of Brutal Truth, Pig Destroyer, Discordance Axis, EyeHateGod and Napalm Death. The band released an EP (“Harmonies From Bleeding Mouths”) in 2006 and their first full-length, “Omega Drunk On The Blood Of Alpha,” in 2008 on Debello Recordings.
With the release of the band’s 2010 PROSTHETIC RECORDS debut, “Songs Of Ill Hope And Desperation,” CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE continued to bring dissonant, black grind to both new and established fans alike. Vocalist Ethan McCarthy described the album as “our most dynamic, bleakest, and dirtiest material to date.” Well, here's their new EP, enjoy!!!
