Ten items, twenty minutes of pure emotion and shock seizure beginning in the depths of the soul to move to each of our bones. Voices crying with more desperation than anger, screeching guitars trying to exorcise demons tangible, real, rhythms that disrupt the senses and invite dances fractured and urgent. Four young Californians for whom the sun and the beaches of his hometown does not mean too much. Think of names like The Blood Brothers, La Dispute, Amber Inn Hoover or more intense and are not wrong direction. Post-Hardcore can call, they can call Emo Screamo and even if they want but that ultimately does not tell us much. With a raw sound but clear and powerful at the same time, Ruptures is shipped with a debut album (preceded by the ep "Milkbled, published in 2010) full of frenetic songs, driven by guitars that soar in stabbing dissonances or retreat in beautiful melodies, as required, supported by a nervous rhythm section, contagious, tight, versatile, and topped with vocals that leave every last drop of blood, sweat and tears in each intervention. Supplemented by brief respites introspective instrumental (and even recited a passage), these songs convey strong feelings of suffocation and violent release, with a visceral and gritty intensity, however, does not tarnish his elaborate musical. An instinctive drive types unique composition (especially for a band so young), making a careful handling of dynamics, intensity increases and decreases, and balancing naturally and freshness hook, emotion, anger, melody and intelligence. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates strong emotions.
