LOST APPARITIONS describes their music as: a genre clusterf***, throwing experimental rock, psychedelic, math, ambient, world music, Latin, surf, progressive and tribal elements all into one delicious sh*t sandwich. Such an over the top description of their sound, while perhaps not entirely accurate, is certainly telling of their overall approach to sound. LA have some of the characteristics of a growling metal band but with an understanding of ambient mood changes. As such, the music is more deep and diverse than a 'normal' metal outfit would bother with. Throw in a loose (occasionally bordering on chaotic) rhythm section and you have a band that reminds of The MARS VOLTA at some of their louder moments.
