The Prophet Nathan has existed in many forms over the past six years. First, a solo performance act, then a three piece improvisational act, a full line up rock band, electronic musical experience, and always a compelling last minute add on for house shows and venues alike.
TPN began as the solo endeavor of James, guitarist and vocalist. Inspired by experimental guitar playing of all kinds, James began writing and performing live solo instrumental music under the TPN mona cure. Soon he was joined by friends and talents of all kinds, including Charlie, who solidified the bands direction while also proving to be an indispensable musical talent.
After 3 years of slowly gaining exposure The Prophet Nathan independently recorded and produced their first EP, Zadok the Priest, and began giving the music away for free in whatever way was requested.
Their newest EP, 1.414 to 1, was released in March of 2011 and showcases the musical maturity of the group on all fronts. Combined with a captivating live show and an uncanny ability to connect with their listeners, The Prophet Nathan will continue to make music that entices audiences of all musical preference and perspective.
With another new EP and a full length both in the works, the ability to tour at a moment’s notice, and an ever-evolving style, The Prophet Nathan will infiltrate your mind in whatever form you stumble upon them
