Crash Trio is a free improvised music unit, with a strong attitude for the hardcore-jazz sounds. The musicians involved are all experienced and very actives in many different projects concerning the broad spectrum of improvised and experimental music. Over the years they performs in theatres, art galleries, universities, academies, schools, concert halls, jazz clubs, social centres, both in Italy and abroad. The trio was born on January 2008, thanks to the Iemulo’s project 'NeverMetBefore', a series of concerts that put together, for the first time, new ensemble of musicians. Their acclaimed album "Live at Crash" is published by the Italian avant-garde label Setola Di Maiale.

He starts to play in the 1987. In the same year he attended the Siena Jazz workshops. In the 1993 he moved to Bologna where he founded, together with the other musicians, such as Fabrizio Puglisi, Antonio Borghini, Cristiano Calcagnile, the Collective Bassesfere. From the 1995 to the 2000 he worked with the Specchio Ensemble, the trio Vakki Plakkula. He toured Europe, USA and Brasil. By now, he is playing with his quartet Mrafi, with the Memorial Barbecue, Eco D'Alberi with Braida, Borghini and Spera. He is also part of different projects with the leadership of Tristan Honsinger (Dilemma and Small Talk). He has played with many musicians including: Tim Berne, Han Bennink, Hamid Drake, William Parker, Tristan Honsinger, Stefano Lunardi, Mirko Sabatini, Alan Wilkinson, Cristiano Calcagnile, Clayton Thomas, Eugenio Sanna, Vincenzo Vasi, Giovanni Maier, Mirko Sabatini.

Since the 1986 he has studied classical, electric and battente guitar, analysis and composition. He starts to get deeper with the free improvised music scene from the 2003, studying, among others, with Tristan Honsinger, Misha Mengelberg, Barre Phillips, Phil Milton, and cooperating with some musican of Bassesfere Collective and Honsinger himself, for different projects. He is graduated at the music department of the D.A.M.S. Bologna’s University. In 1999 he worked fro two years with the theatre company Nisba, in Bologna, composing and performing the music for different prose works. Since 2003 is definitely dedicated to improvisation and music research, starting to work with Tristan Honsinger and some musicians Bassesfere Collective. In 2005 he lived both in Berlin and Amsterdam, where he worked out several projects including Twelve’s with the guitarist Olaf Rupp, project edited in the 2007 and published in the 2008 by the label Setola Di Maiale. He is charter member of the association GNÙ association of young musicians, who are involved with music research in Bologna. He has played, among the others, with Tristan Honsinger, Barre Phillips, Akira Ando, Clayton Thomas, Klaus Janeck, Paul Frank Schubert, Antonio Borghini, Tuomas Ojala, Michael Thiecke, Matthias Muller, Christian Marien, Luca Bernard, Joseph Miceli, Jan Kurt, Francesco Cusa, Alessandro Buzzi, Manuela Barile.

Musician, improviser, performer and composer of electronic/acousmatic music, he starts to play at the age of fourteen, working and recording his music with the experimental project Opera (published by the label OEC). Since that period
