Quebec was a spazzy screamo band from Melbourne, Australia (funny, huh) who released their EP Together We Have Grown, Together We Shall Bloom in 2007.  Their sound falls somewhere in between the chaotic  elements of Circle Takes the Square and the experimental side of the Mars Volta’s first full length. Which means their songs tend to favor build ups and quick chord changes, they wander at points, but always have a destination that’s not too far away.
I know the word jazz gets thrown around a lot when people try to describe technically proficent bands but… they definitely graze that territory a bit.  They also manage to tastefully incorporate a Saxaphone on this album which rules.  But why not listen to them for yourself and come to your own conclusion? -stokingtheroots
